Being Human Festival event: Searching for Theatrical Ancestors 21 Nov 2017, 2-4pm (free admission)

Searching for Theatrical Ancestors: Lost and Found. 21 Nov 2017, 2-4pm Hull History Centre, Worship Street, HULL. HU2 8BG (free admission) This workshop will include a demonstration of the Searching for Theatrical Ancestors website with an interactive talk, providing an introduction to researching theatre history archives and online data for theatre history research. This will be followed by Q&A and the opportunity to deposit information about ‘Stars found’ for the website.

Celebrating Suffragettes: International Women's Day, 7 March 2017, University of Hull

A talk by Professor Katharine Cockin on 'Celebrating Suffragettes' will be illustrated by a spectacular tableau. The event will conclude with a performance of the new completion of Ethel Smyth's brass composition for The March of the Women, by Dr Simon Desbruslais and the Hull University Chapel Choir.
