I have the pleasure in enclosing you a programme of the Shakespeare Tercentenary Performance oat Drury Lane, together with a copy of a lette rreceived from Sir Frederick Ponsonby on behalf of Their Majesties the King and Queen.
But for the willing and loyal co-operation of my brothers and sisters in Art, this memorable performance could never have been given.
Such a Commemoration will live in the annals of the stage, and will give to future ages the most noteworthy proof, if proof were needed, of our intense love and admiration for Shakespeare.
Yours Truly
[signed] George Alexander
CHAIRMAN.
