The only authorized Book of Mr. IRVING'S Acting Version
of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE is to be had in the
Theatre, Price ONE SHILLING each.
The Bill of the Play will in every part of the House be supplied without Charge.
No Fees of any kind will be permitted, and Mr. IRVING trusts that in his
endeavour to carry out this arrangement he may rely on the co-operation of
the Public.
SPECIAL NOTICE
Owing to the demand for places, Mr. IRVING has arranged that seats
can be booked at the Box Office, under the direction of Mr. HURST,
from 10 till 6, for Six Weeks In advance, instead of One Month as
hitherto.
Mr. IRVING begs to announce that, in compliance with a generally
expressed wish, a limited number of Amphitheatre Seats, numbered and
reserved, price 2s. 6d. each, are now available, and can be booked Six
Weeks in advance. Amphitheatre Entrance, Box Office, Wellington Street.
Prices : Private Boxes, 4 Guineas to 1 1/2 Guineas ; Stalls, Ios. ;
Dress Circle, 6s ; Upper Circle, 3s. ; Amphitheatre, 2s. 6d.;

NOTICE!
Mr. IRVING, to prevent any misunderstanding with the public,
begs to inform. them that a limited number only of Private Boxes,
Stalls, Dress Circle, and Upper Circle Seats are to be obtained at
the various Libraries, Mr. Irving, for the convenience of the
general public, retaining the majority of seats for the booking at
the Box Office of the Theatre, which is open from 10 to 6 o'clock,
and where Seats may be booked six weeks in advance.
NO FEES OF ANY KIND.
SPECIAL NOTICE
Mr. IRVING begs to explain, in answer to numerous Inquiries, that
the delay in the production of THE CORSICAN BROTHERS has been
caused by the continued success of "The Merchant of Venice.,, Mr.
IRVING has secured Mr. Dion Boucicault's version, as adapted for Mr.
Charles Kean. The play has been in preparation for many months, and
will be produced as soon as circumstances may permit.
